What are the music libraries on campus?

Answer

There are two music libraries on campus. Both are located in the Boesel Musical Arts Center at 49 Seminary Street. Jones Music Library is on the lower level and the Riemenschneider Bach Institute is on the first floor. The primary contact person for both libraries is Conservatory Librarian Paul Cary. You can email Paul at pcary@bw.edu.

Jones Music Library directly supports the curriculum of the Conservatory and the University. Physical collections consist of about 17,000 scores, 6,000 books, 40 periodical subscriptions, and thousands of CDs and DVDs. Jones also provides access to a very rich collection of online resources in music, including Oxford Music Online, RILM Abstracts, and millions of tracks of streaming audio and video.

The Riemenschneider Bach Institute houses a remarkable collection of rare books, scores, and manuscripts, including some in Bach's own hand. It also contains a circulating collection of books and a reference collection of composers' complete works. The Institute is very much open and welcoming to students. Please contact Paul Cary with questions or to schedule an appointment.
